Some McCoy speculation

quote:

WIVB's Josh Reed reports the Chargers are a potential landing spot for free agent LeSean McCoy.

The Chargers have a holdout workhorse on their hands in Melvin Gordon, and McCoy played for Anthony Lynn in Buffalo in 2015-16, having by far his best season as a Bill in '16. It's possible the Chargers the don't want to risk overexposing Austin Ekeler during Gordon's potential absence. We still wouldn't consider Los Angeles McCoy's most likely landing spot. This could be a leak designed to squeeze Gordon.

Is McCoy worth rostering?

I'm pretty thin at RB after Lamar Miller went down. Would you drop any of the below for him?

Starting RB's:
Dalvin Cook
Chris Carson

Bench:
Mattison (Cook handcuff)
Pollard (hoping Zeke is out)

How many teams? I think he should be rostered until we know what team he goes to. Like he would eat in SD and could get full run in TB.

14 teams. Waivers are usually pretty barren.

Oh yea, I’d grab him. Who else is on your team?

Pollards value about to drop except for maybe the Zeke owner

quote:

Here’s another sign there’s optimism on a new deal for Ezekiel Elliott: Dallas released RBs Jordan Chunn, Darius Jackson, Mike Weber, leaving Alfred Morris and Tony Pollard as only RBs on Cowboys’ roster. Signing Elliott would give Cowboys a third RB, not to mention their MVP.

Adam Schefter ? @AdamSchefter Here's the news Dallas has wanted: Talks between the Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott are intensifying, with both sides aiming to wrap up a new deal this weeke

Got Zeke via auction drafts in 3 different leagues. Hoping this has some merit behind it, however this does seem to indicate him coming back early into the season.

WR's:
Mike Thomas
Diggs

Will Fuller
Emmanuel Sanders

TE:
Howard

So you would drop Pollard for McCoy?

Eta: or I could entertain a trade with the Zeke owner, Pollard for Darrell Henderson.

Another Texans’ trade: Houston is trading G Martinas Rankin to Kansas City for RB Carlos Hyde, per league source. Houston gets the RB help it needs.

You aren’t dropping Pollard til a deal is done

Ideally you trade pollard but you might not have time. I can’t believe McCoy is a FA and hasn’t been added yet

I don’t really count Mattison or pollard as RB depth at this point as they are going to need injuries to get serious run. So you really only have 2 RB, you gotta get shady

I don’t see Emmanuel Sanders doing much with Flacco and that Denver offense, I would drop him for McCoy unless I could deal pollard quickly

Some potentially big news for the #Chargers: They have given the reps for Melvin Gordon permission to seek a trade, sources say. He’ll explore his options, which include returning. But big few days.

He was owned, it seems someone overreacted and dropped him on the cut news.

Hmm, I really don't want to drop Sanders. He was putting up WR1 numbers before his injury last year even with their crummy offense. I don't see Flacco being that much of a downgrade.

I'll see if I can work a trade before Tues waiver deadline.

I dont think Thomas was impacting him before, but that sounds about right if you really covet him

Full Terms: The #Texans get LT Laremy Tunsil, WR Kenny Stills and a fourth rounder. … The #Dolphins get 2 first-rounders, a second rounder, ST Johnson Bademosi and OL Julien Davenport, per me, @MikeGarafolo and @TomPelissero.

Stills kills Fuller's value? Coutee? Target share is muddled all of a sudden

Watson value up for sure. Fuller is better than Stills, I think stills is insurance on Fuller’s health

They're giving themselves depth at WR after they were decimated with injuries last year, plus more weapons for Watson.

I am a Fuller owner so I don't necessarily like the move for fantasy purposes, but Fuller is a beast when fully healthy. I'd be more worried if I was a Coutee owner.
