Barry
Starting Lineup: 33.66 (4th)
-This team is ranked 4th in hitting, even though they get ZERO points out of their catcher (d'Arnaud isn't projected to get any stats on cbs). Top to bottom, it's probably the most balanced lineup. Pretty impressive.
Pitching Staff: 27.35 (1st)
I definitely don't agree with this being the #1 staff, because there are no saves outside of Betancourt. However, a Kershaw/Lee duo is not to be fricked with. Not big on Beckett and Santana, but they can get the job done. Ubaldo needs to pull his head out of his arse, and McCarthy needs to increase his k rate a little in order to be more effective in fantasy.
Bench: 4.24 (1st)
By far the best bench in the league. Every hitter on it could start for at least one other team in the league. Nice trade pieces to fill any holes (catcher) that may need to be addressed.
Overall: 65.24 (1st)
Bullseye on this team. I consider them the odds on favorite to win it all, assuming that moves are made to address saves and the catcher situation. If they aren't addressed, its still a playoff team, but one that will probably lose on the last at bat of the major league season.

Plan was to pick up saves in season, which they always can, and not over pay for them in the draft. Hoping most weeks Lee Kershaw start will carry me

Tried to take best bat available regardless of need most of draft

Toula
Starting Lineup: 29.81 (11th)
-The ratings seem to hate this team's OF, although it has potential to be pretty good. Quentin in SD has most people worried about him, and Stubbs regressed last year. Morales needs to be healthy before anyone can take him seriously. The infield is in good shape with sluggers like Votto and Cano, and Castro is better now than I ever thought he'd be in fantasy.
Pitching Staff: 26.08 (2nd)
-STRONG top four in Sabathia, Cain, Beachy, and Anibal. Good job locking up saves. Chapman is a big wild card here. Shelby Miller could be helpful in the playoffs.
Bench: 2.57 (9th)
-Kinda meh, although Gaby Sanchez is a strong option as a reserve. Arenado is a nice prospect as well.
Overall: 58.46 (7th)
frick that. This is a playoff team. It's biggest weakness is the OF, and that can be overcome by the production in the IF. I do hate me some Chris Iannetta though. Get rid of that fig. Either way, I consider this squad a true contender.

This could be a playoff team, in my opinion. I don't think it has quite enough thunder to win the ship, but in the playoffs anything can happen.
Not much I can really disagree w/ here redd. Cept I don't get the Encarnacion hate. & I'm not sure if your comment about Mez taking over for Montero was an endorsement of Dev or you hating on Montero, but i think Montero will continue to grow & is a slighty above avg. option @ C this year

That's exactly how I view my team as well.

yea..with my IF being locked up, i like having flexibility in my OF.. IF, BIG IF, Morales is healthy, how soon we forget he dropped 35 and 100+.
quote:

-Kinda meh,
My bench is littered w/ guys I think that overperform expectations----Fowler, Boesch (hitting in front of Miggy and Fielder), and Danny Murphy.

my C will be a revolving door...Lucroy, Hernandez, Suzuki all are chillin on the FA wire.

The Red Cross
Starting Lineup: 28.22 (12th)
It's not as bad as the ratings suggest, imo. Gonzalez, Stanton, and Posey are nice building blocks. I'm gonna recommend that Yadier Molina not be your U spot option. I'd try Morneau there first. You'll get flashes from Mayberry, but thats a weak starter in a 12 man league, as is Roberts and Bonifacio. Jury still out on Heyward.
Pitching Staff: 21.60 (11th)
-Again, maybe not as bad as the ratings suggest. Strasburg, Wainwright, Zimmermann, Feliz is pretty competitive. Garcia has his moments as well. I've given up on Billingsley and you won't get a ton out of Leake. Kinda have a clusterfrick of relievers after Wilson.
Bench: 1.91 (11th)
-CBS doesn't project any stats for Harper this year, so that affects this some. It's a meh bench after that, really.
Overall: 51.72 (12th)
-The bad news is that there is no way in hell this team makes the playoffs. Just too many holes. The good news is that you have built a solid core to build from. Ten keepers next year? Posey, Gonzalez, Stanton, Heyward, Harper, Strasburg, Wainwright, Feliz, and Wilson all qualify as options moving forward. Thats nine right there. I'm sure you could move some of your other pieces before the deadline and get that 10th guy. Hell Zimmermann could even be that 10th guy if you wanted to go heavy on pitching. Either way, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'd rather have this team than Papps. At least this one appears to have a future.

Encarnacion fricked me fantasy too many years in a row. He's been blacklisted.
As for Montero, I like him. It was more of an endorsement for Mesoraco, really.

5th baby.
The haters kept hating but I'm 5th and 7th in the two rankings. Middle of the pack. Let's get to work.

Gotcha, luckily i'm not counting on much besides a backup 1B/3B, however I think he's got 25+HR potential hitting in the Rogers Centre
