the LP needs a young, energetic person (i'd prefer a minority or woman, honestly) who can explain the positive concepts of the party to younger voters. that person will have to not be afraid to rock the boat on some issues

That is Petersen in a nutshell. He was so damn close too. He isn't a minority though

I voted Trump for president, but was virtually straight Libertarian down ballot.
Libertarians can make some noise on the national stage, but in order to be taken seriously they have to grow from local and state elections.
