They are repulicans and therefore more likely to actually work. You are being counterproductive so they just told you that to get you to leave them the hell alone. You should be fired, but you would probably sue.

nah, i presented myself as an independent open to both sides, and i never brought up the topic of the election to others. i would just chime in from time to time about how ridiculous i found trump to be, not very hard. would constantly push the idea that maybe it's just a waste of time to vote this year.
