Interesting read...

The state-level polling was wrong. The data was wrong. The models were wrong. Hidden Trump voters were real. Rally sizes were indicative of the enthusiasm gap. An inferior ground game didn't matter. Getting outspent by a lot didn't matter (the consecutive low-budget vanquishing of Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton destroyed the Left's "money runs politics" meme). Having an unfavorable rating of roughly 60 percent, with large majorities rejecting his qualifications and temperament, didn't matter. A sizable chunk of those people voted for him anyway.

I honestly don't know how to take this other than people really hated Hillary

I love how a lot of us had this path for him winning months ago. Disenfranchised union workers, he won all those states.
Fail to see how this is such a shocking results for anyone without their liberal blinders on

The Majority of the US have had enough.
Plain and simple.

High energy support by 40% beats out being hated by 60%.
Bad weather in Michigan, Ohio, etc, likely dissuaded fence sitters for Hillary from voting. Trump voters would take a stroll through downtown Hell with a smile on their face to vote for him.

quote:For all the talk of, "Any candidate other than Trump would've had a landslide victory", I think it is true for the Democrats. They made a huge mistake in having the Liberal establishment handpick the Democratic candidate. They alienated middle ground people by purposefully screwing over Bernie Sanders and rigging the process. They did not give all democrats a voice in the selection process.
I honestly don't know how to take this other than people really hated Hillary
And that doesn't even start on how the person that they selected without real opposition:
1. Has failed at nearly every political opportunity she has had. Everything she touched during her husband's presidency was a failure. Everything she did as Secretary of State was a failure.
2. She is a pathological liar.
3. She has no charisma when speaking. Finger nails on a chalk board.
4. She is unlikable.
5. She is a war-hawk.
6. She is obviously unhealthy.
7. etc., etc.
If the Democrats actually had an open and fair Primary, she would have lost. And whoever won, would've likely beaten Trump like a drum. Joe Biden would've won by more than Obama beat McCain.

It was more than that. Obama's favorable rating is pure fiction. My spouse, who is a very fair/objective person, summed it up: most people are not happy with the state of the economy and the trend towards increased Socialism in our nation. I would add that I think people genuinely fear for their freedom and see the Obama regime as a very real threat to their way of life.
