my understanding is that this amendment keeps Alabama as a "right to work" state

Hillary says right to work is "racist" and must be put down

I typically vote straight R & NO on ammendments

but will vote YES on Amendment 8

also yes to 14 in alabama. that one i'm slightly up on.

the other stuff, if you're repub i've read is

yes on 2
yes on 3
yes on 4

but NO on 5, 6, 11 and big time no on 13

*edit*

Take it with a grain of salt... i have never been more caught up Presidential politics in my life, and it really has changed my whole format of thinking for local politics. makes me want to be a fruitcake ont he side of the road waving with a sign in my hand at this point and know intimately about each amendment.

This is already a law in AL. It really makes no difference whether you vote no or yes.

plenty of Bama residents on this board

we probably need threads like this from our members in all the Southern states; especially FL, GA, AR, MS, TN & TX

will vote yes anyway - the fact that it is on the ballot means it is under attack

Making it a constitutional amendment will make it more difficult to repeal in the future.

Voted yes on 1, 2, and 8.

Voted no on 14. I have no reason to bail out politicians for not following the law in the first place. it is basically a "let's make it up as we go" amendment.

I think the amendment is to make it more difficult to be repeal. I voted yes because I think it's important to protect Al as a right to work state.

and a yes on 1

Tired of those-clowns closing state parks whenever passing a budget becomes too much of a chore.

edit: oops didn't see your 1st line

That's 2. 1 dealt with Auburn board of trustees, adding two more to it and limiting it to no more than 3 can expire in one given year.

I voted in downtown Birmingham this morning. I was handed an Election Guide by the Alabama Democratic Conference of Jefferson County (which I didn't realize was legal/common).. Pretty much voted straight ticket the exact opposite of what they suggested because I was annoyed.

I agreed with them on Amendment 2 (keeping state park money for state parks), and Amendment 14 (the only group that opposes this amendment is the Birmingham City Council - pretty much made it a done deal for me).

I feel like the most important issue on the ballot was covered in Baldwin County. I voted yes to allow golf carts on selected roads.

Step one to MAGA complete.

I'm pretty sure that's not legal. You should call the police and give them the book you were handed.

I tried to research it, and I saw no good reason for the proposed amendment. When I asked on this board, no Auburn folks piped in to tell me why I should feel differently.
