Or nothing.

What do you think will happen?

Wall and immigration reform. The later may include what some consider to be "amnesty" but I do not see mass deportations...

Definitely a wall. Also major immigration reform in terms of new immigrants wanting to come over here. In term of the current illegal immigrants currently here, my guess is some form of semi-amnesty. I do think there has to be a penalty of some sort that will need to be paid but otherwise those immigrants won't be deported. My guess would maybe be $1,000 penalty and then you become a citizen and get to stay.

He will definitely build the wall. I also think that he will come up with some type of amnesty plan with strings attached. Something like military service requirements... Also, I think he will round up illegals that are criminals and send them back home ASAP.

This is pretty much what I hope happens. Build a wall, simplify our immigration system so legal immigrants can actually come here without waiting years. In terms of our current illegal immigrants, pay all back taxes that were never paid and then a penalty, either pay a $1,000 penalty per illegal immigrant in their family or a year of military or civic service. At that point that can truly become American citizens and become a part of America instead of living in the shadows.

Those illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, immediate deportation of them and their families. Cut off any funding for sanctuary cities until they once again comply with federal law.

I just don't see a wall as realistic. I'd say Semi-Amnesty is what we go for. I'd be ok with it.

I don't care about a wall. Those here can stay. Those that want to come work can come. Those that commit crimes get super harsh sentences and work for free.

I agree. The Wall is just too impractical. There may be a few miles of wall to save face on the campaign promise, but I think some form of amnesty (with a different label) will be what happens if anything happens at all.

Mass deportation, no.

Energized, better funded, and supported border police and ICE? Yes.

Wall? Probably a fence or small wall in strategic areas.

Cynic: no wall, full citizenship

Cautious optimist: semi wall, semi amnesty

It was the focus of his campaign. He's not going to put up 100 miles of brick and call it a day

It may end up like this:

1. Border security and immigration enforcement
2. Construction of a non-contiguous wall
3. Immigration reform

What do I think will happen? In all honesty, I have absolutely no idea.

What I want to happen: enforcement of laws already on the books. Heavy fines/imprisonment for businesses that violate them.

Also, listen to the rhetoric about how Trump's promises to "bring back American jobs" are impossible, since "automation has and will continue to eliminate those jobs". If that's the case, then we need to drastically REDUCE legal immigration, not increase it.
