I thought this election turnout would shatter records

it appears more people voted in 2012 for Obama vs Romney. I dont get it. the narrative was that a bunch of people stayed home in 2012 and the story for 2016 was that Trump brought in people that rarely voted. is it because votes are still being counted? anyway, who cares?-MAGA!!

I imagine some people didn't vote because they didn't support either candidate.

Polls and whatnot are obviously only a vague marker. Not the science some would have us believe.
