What is amendment 2? There is one in alabama, but it isn't that big of a deal.

Which one was that again? I voted for all of them.

The colleges can raise tuition one?
That's going to fall? Louisiana dumb shits.

Gives universities the discretion to control their own tuition rates

To frickin hell with Amendment 2! Its passage would have meant only the wealthy elite could afford college. Tuition would have skyrocketed! You must be a college board member!

Bernie Sanders specifically told his supporters to vote against it. No shite.

Good. Greedy, arrogant bastards have no shame when it comes to squandering money.

What dies Senate race look like?

I don't understand why so many of you were against this.
It is just a checks and balances. The legislature are there to make sure that the individual schools and systems aren't getting out of hand.
You guys seem to want our Gramblings and Southerns making decisions with no checks and balances. I don't trust them that much.

Oh yeah, because Nicholls, NWST, McNeese, SELA, etc. were going to raise tuition so much that no one else could go to school.
Get real. The legislature hasn't done anything to help the schools, and we are one of only a handful of states that has the legislature controlling tuition.
And let's face it, everyone doesn't need to go to college. If you make the grades, universities have scholarships. There are too few jobs that require college degrees and too many college graduates in debt. Too many people go to college that have no business there. Maybe a tuition hike will weed some of those out, and less competition for scholarships and TOPS for the students that actually deserve it.
