The pitching has more to do with LSU issues than the hitting based on those stats.
A healthy Riley Smith and Jake Latz and not losing Cartwright could have had an impact.

Maybe but all of our pitchers were having issues at some point this season and almost all of them have struggled throwing strikes.

I doubt anyone expected our hitting stats to be fine and our pitching to be towards the bottom of the conference in every category. So much for preseason scouting reports

doesn't help that Poche and Valek have been awful the last month and it took Lange until April to get himself under control

So, in a year when everyone thought our hitting would be down due to "youth" and we would have to rely on our "experienced" pitching staff it is turning out just the opposite!

But yet it took him more than half the season to realize that.

But yet he sits him when the wind blows in....
Like benching Fournette b/c of rain.

Yep. Didn't Romero get just 1 AB in the TAM series? Hard to believe.

I think it took him about 3 weeks too long, but maybe he finally figured out last week that romero is the guy. You were right about that like 7 months ago by the way. Cheers kim

I get lucky every now and then.

This is a great team when they are playing well. They just don't keep the same rhythm game after game. Lack of solid pitching will not carry us far.
