Grimes . . . Maybe He Knows What He Is Doing

The offensive line performed brilliantly last night.
There were a lot of TD posters questioning Miles for the hire and questioning Grimes in particular.
It takes a bit more thought to view a set of facts and circumstances as a dynamic, constantly evolving framework. However, to properly analyze most things in life, it is absolutely necessary to do so. So it is in football. Players, units, coaches are not static. It's almost never a simple issue of "a person has it or he doesn't."
Players learn and develop. Units are composed of learning and developing players who also learn to interact, trust, and play better together.
Most of the time, people improve. Many times, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
The less experienced or technically sound a player or unit is, the more development and improvement you will see. Sometimes, players and units have to unlearn bad techniques and habits, so you’ll see a drop in performance before you see actual improvement over the baseline or status quo.
The offensive line is DEFINITELY playing better, and they have been getting better each week for a while now.
Other parts of the team are improving. In particular, the less experienced players and units are showing the most improvement.
Beckwith is playing better. Jennings is playing better. The defense is playing MUCH better.

Maybe you're right, but passing on Mawae was insane.

Im not sure I absolutely believe this. No doubt Mawae's connection to the program & his NFL experience were very intriguing but the guy has never coached, much less at a collegiate level, so I'm not sure the time was right.

SALVIATI...did you come from the Les Miles School of Communication? Well done Sir...I swear it read like a Les Miles Chat. The part about having to lose old bad habits setting you back before you see improvement...you also explained my golf game.

Moreover, the point is that some people were giving Grimes a pass this year because it's his first year; however, other people were bashing him for the results of the offensive line.
Maybe, those people should have had a little patience.
