Wolves are drawing closer to the aged pack leader.

quote:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, is again being called on to step down, but this time the request came from a fellow female Californian in a top congressional leadership position. Rep. Linda Sánchez, D-Whittier (Los Angeles County), the fifth-most-senior House Democrat, told C-SPAN Thursday: “I do think it’s time to pass a torch to a new generation of leaders, and I want to be a part of that transition. I think we have too many great members here that don’t always get the opportunities that they should.”

quote:

The remarks reflect a growing frustration among Democrats, who have been hemorrhaging seats at all levels of government nearly everywhere except California for nearly a decade, that the party doesn’t have a coherent, appealing message. Pelosi is stuck in the middle, seen as too progressive by heartland Democrats in swing districts and too much of a corporatist by progressive Democrats, where much of the party’s current energy lies.

The Dems keeping her as a leader of the party for so long is one of the dumbest political decisions in the history of politics. Every Republican running for office from President down to County Commissioner always uses "do you want to vote for the candidate in the party of Pelosi" in some form in their campaign and it's worked. Dems have lost seats at every level of gov't from the time she was elected leader to today.

Stupid.

That is not just a Pelosi thing, it is the demonization of white people and the SJW hijack by your party.

Crazy thought here, but I think that had a lot more to do with Obama than Pelosi. And, as you said, the radical identity politics embraced by Dems at all levels.

Identity politics of the last decade is one of the reasons Dems have been pummeled to the tune of approximately 1,000 seats lost from dog catcher to President.

Because the republican party has been masterful at scaring white people into being loyal sheep. Not because of the reality of the situation that actually exist in the Country.

As a conservative, I hope Pelosi digs in and stays in power and Clinton runs for President again...they are the gifts that keep on giving.
