Secondary is better than the Superbowl Saints right now, just imagine when they are all healthy? Nice turn around Coach.

The only thing that gives me pause is they've done this before and then the next week they couldn't stop a high school JV team. I'm not getting my hopes up until they sustain it against an offense that isn't garbage.

Our corners are fine, dont think we can defend running backs in the passing game which is why I believe Allen uses zone to stop this. Seems the rest of our secondary cant play zone though.

Not to rain on the parade, but Miami was ranked near the bottom of the league in yards per game.

Not to mention Minnesota and New England worked our defense pretty easily.

They did just play the Dolphins who have been pretty abysmal so far. I will say the secondary looks good, especially Crawley. I think he ends up being a full time starter.

I didn't give up on my rights, didn't give up on the Saints. Proud of those facts

Could it have been the scheme just needed to be tweaked and we actually have the players on defense.

We have a young defense with promise, and that's great. But we are another year and good draft/FA away from truly being a contender again I'd say.

Day 1 was well after the Vikings debacle, right?

I'll wait until Detroit to see if anything is legit. Saints do this all the time. They fall in a hole, climb back to .500 and then shite the bed in epic fashion.

Historically, we've made bad offenses look all pro, so regardless of how good the offense is, I'm happy that they at least shut it down. But I'm hesitant to call them "legit" just yet. Improving for sure.

Miami also has played one less game than 30 other teams so most of those rankings are very skewed. Also why their defense is ranked near the top in almost every category.

Their offense is not great though but it shouldn't be ranked in the 30's come mid season once more teams go on their by-weeks.
