Saw a big buck here last hunt. Hope to see him get close today.

Was hearing what I thought to be branches about 10-15 min ago. Turned out it was 2 120-125in bucks sparring. Passed up a 30yd shot on one of them. Bad arse.

They have some 140-180's where I'm hunting and in ND you only get one tag. So I'm trying to make it count.

Saw a pretty nice 8 about 80yds but he didn't get any closer. May have tried with him if he would have came closer.

About 15 min ago.

I agree. That's one thing the mid west and north gets right. The deer numbers up here are really good. I'm averaging 15-20 deer seen a hunt.

I just think the deer are more concentrated in the Midwest bc you don't have large forests. Per sq mile, MS probably has more deer than any state in the Midwest but definitely not the quality.

Was about to get out stand and a descent 8pt just passed my area through my area. Think he caught wind of me. Got about 50yds behind brush, looked in my direction and trotted off.

Maybe so. Definitely not as much woods up here as in the south.
