Supposed to be going in a couple of months. Anyone know how bad it was hit?

I would honestly think the first thing they do is repair what it takes to get the tourist back first, as that is their main life line.

I'm in the same situation. Was booked for Beyc on virgin gorda in mid November. I see no way that can happen now. Everything has been destroyed. It's like an f3 tornado that lasted 4 hours.

Everyone was evacuated to the Western side of the Isle and it tipped over

There are several islands so the damage probably varies. Many of the structures are solid concrete. If you are going in the next 3-5 months I would imagine there will be massive clean up efforts and limited desire to entertain tourists.

I would recommend waiting a few weeks then contacting your hotel or airline to verify accessibility or consider alternate locations.

There is a BVI facebook group that was posted in the Irma thread last night. Most of the popular bars are gone.

Don't believe these people. Everything is fine down there! Don't change any plans, and make sure you scream at the locals if the accommodations aren't satisfactory.
