Game of Thrones - GrayArea has posted a VERY interesting theory (SPOILERISH)

Checked YouTube and a video from GrayArea popped up in which she posts what is to me a very interesting theory (backed well but not conclusively by some footage) about a certain sword. And I think she may have something.
I'm not sure if this is technically spoilerish but if accurate it could foreshadow future developments pretty heavily - so PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK:
Her theory is that the sword Beric Dondarion has been carrying is, in fact, Dawn, the sword of Arthur Dayne. She backs it up with some shots of the sword - on Dondarion's saddle, being picked up by Thoros when he heard the Hound digging and then shoved into the ground when Thoros helped the Hound, etc. The shape of the pomell is pretty much an exact match for Dawn, though none of the shots show it clearly enough to see if the sunrise motif is on it.
I think it's a well thought out theory.

What do ya'll think?
o/t: I wanted to post this on the long spoiler type thread that someone had started long ago (not the Crackpot thread) for spoilers and stuff. I think it was maybe blueboy. But I couldn't remember enough keywords to find it through search. If someone can point me to that I wouldn't mind moving this there and letting this thread sink.

The hilt is wrong, it has the "nipple" but Baric's sword looks like it makes a straight line across on the hilt, whereas Dawn was rounded up towards the blade when they come out

Didn't the hound cut Beric's sword in half in season 3 I think. He was able to light that sword on fire too like we see in the previews. I think it's kind of doubtful that he would happen to stumble upon Dawn just like that.

Ahh, Dang. You're right. Totally different hilt. Ah well. Was fun for a second.

I didn't watch the video but why would he have it?

Apparently in the books . . . he is/was engaged to Allyria Dayne and he has/had young Edric Dayne as his squire.

My question is why would a white sista give two shits about a sword?

Dawn isn't Valyrian steel tho so I don't see where it's importance would be at this point in the story

I'm confused as hell and don't know what any of this means.

Yeah, not Valyrian steel. I think it was forged from a "fallen star" ie: a meteorite. It could well have some sort of special properties but I don't think they've dropped any hints about that in the show. Which they probably would have done if it had powers applicable to the WW or wights.

I didn't watch the video, but why would that foreshadow anything?

This has already been debunked but it was fun for a moment
