Traveling With E-Cigs/ Vapes

Per TSA's website, I'm allowed to bring this on board with me. In attempting to avoid any delays with TSA, am I ok with putting the pen/ liquid in my carry on bag? Or do I need to remove it from the bag, and put it in the bin? Also, should I remove the liquid and put it in a plastic bag?

I usually leave mine in my backpack, but try to have as little liquid as possible in the tank. Then just pack my extra liquid in the same Ziploc with my other liquids. Never had an issue.
