Going to Little Rock for 3 day weekend. Any rec's on good eats there or on the way there from Houston? tia

i spent a month in little rock once and really enjoyed going to vino's--a pizza dive that has excellent sausage and pepperoni calzones and good beer

It's been a while since I've eaten at Sim's, and I wasn't really a discriminating BBQ eater then (I'm still not... as I enjoy just about any BBQ). I remember it being good, though.
If you want an iconic and "local" experience, you might try Lassis Inn in Little Rock. It's like a Juke Joint that specializes in fried buffalo drum (the fish) ribs.

I'd remove Gus' and add Maddie's but good list for casual spots. The link above has a good list for some finer dining.

I still haven't been to Rebel Kettle, but Lost 40 is great, as is Flyway in North LR.
I'm not big on the Heights Taco or Southern Gourmasian hype train. I prefer Baja to Heights Taco.

Maddie's is my favorite restaurant in Little Rock. Faded Rose next door is also excellent.
