So I saw this movie last night, and I really enjoyed it. There are just a couple things I wanted to discuss.
1. In the opening scene, was that Rose's brother who abducted that guy? Why wouldn't they just wait for him to come home? I assume this was just to give the audience an early scare (which I don't have an issue with).
2. Regarding Chris plugging his ears with cotton from the chair, am I missing something, or is that just a plot hole? I didn't see any way he could move his hands. Maybe he could bend down so his head was closer to his hands?
3. This may be a controversial opinion, but I sort of wish they handled things a little differently with the police officer who was demanding to see ID at the beginning. Since this movie was trying to portray racism in a different way (ex: not just using rednecks or southerners), and cops are often stereotyped as being racist, I think there may have been a missed opportunity here. I think it would have been cool to see the cop actually take a look at the ID, and then at the end, he could show up with Rod and reveal that he did it because he had previously heard rumors about black people disappearing in the neighborhood, and he was trying to collect information before Chris possibly went 'missing,' too.

2. There was a part that showed he could get his face to his hands when he tried to use he mouth to get free but the belt/strap wouldnt budge

What did hitting the deer with the car have to do with the story? This was a really entertaining movie, although I don't know how much re-watchability it has.

Anyone else have people in the theater cheer when the cop car pulled up and it was the TSA agent? That made me laugh

In my theater, they cheered for that, as well as every one of Chris's kills. When the cop car showed up, everyone also groaned, assuming we were going to see him get in trouble since it was a compromising position. We were all thrilled to see Rod.
I was anticipating the cops showing up, too. After he dialed 911, I was thinking this was going to end with him getting arrested.

Nobody was more excited than me to see the TSA agent friend, in a theater full of black people. I can't imagine if the movie a had ended with his arrest...

Peele said their was a very different ending originally

I believe it. And in a vacuum, I would have liked that ending better.

I still kind of like my cop as a good guy twist ending, but Rod was hilarious. Part of me agrees with you though.
I legit got concerned when Chris grabbed the gun, because he would have his fingerprints on it.

It layed there suffering like his mom did after her hit and run.
It's a leap, but if you remember that's how his mom died, she was hit and didn't come home while he stayed up watching TV when he was just a child. He blames himself for it because she might have been saved if he told someone she was late coming home.

Just saw it.
There are many very subtly OVERT racial dynamics in that movie that will quite frankly just fly over many people's heads. I found myself sharing many hilarious intimate laughs in there.
I will compile a list of the many many deeper racial subplots in the movie that make it go.

I just saw it. I really liked it. The writing was so well done. It's definitely a good conversation starter about race.

The brother was a loose cannon. He may have taken it upon himself to bring the guy in like that. There were two occasions where his parents thought that he was too aggressive with Chris. I doubt that the parents were down with him running around wearing a medieval knight's helmet.

He could reach, and using the cotton to bide his time until he was released was a metaphor for slavery.

The scene had two purposes. To make us think that the girlfriend was protective of Chris... and the later reveal that she had kept the cop from seeing his ID to lessen the chance of the cop remembering Chris when he became a missing person.

His mom was a hit and run victim. Black men are referred to by racists as "bucks". That's why the deer and the buck's head are used in the film.
