This has become and ongoing joke but it is a very real issue for Samsung that they need to specifically address in their features/ads. They absolutely need to reassure the public that the problem with their batteries has been taken care of and there is no possibility of a battery meltdown in any Samsung cellphone. I will be steering clear of their products until I am convinced that this is the case.

Same. Price is expected to be ~$1000 also.

They did this like a month ago, held a big press conference about it...

At the end of the day they had a defect in one of their product lines. Its like if Chevy has an issue with a car that means you wouldn't buy a truck from them. Entirely different design teams, entirely different parts, entirely different manufacturers. Prior to the Note fiasco, you never heard about their batteries being an issue. I've had the S4 and S6 for work and bought an S7 Edge last year and couldn't be me thrilled with it. Would buy another Galaxy S device in a heart beat.

It doesnt seem like the S8 will be a big improvement over the S7 though.

Gimmick for the gullible. About on par with 3D/curved televisions.

Wireless charging is awesome, I use it exclusively in my house. However in 2017 it's not a feature you brag about.

What's awesome about it? Can you even charge your phone and play on it at the same time? I can stick a wire in my phone and play all day long.

See last month's iPhone thread where all the android bois were dogging the iP8 because of the anticipated price.

They need to start making models with a smaller screen as an option. Soon phones won't even fit in pockets anymore.

Battery lasts long enough that I usually dont have that problem. If I do I can unplug the power cable from the charging pad and directly into my phone...

I may be an outlier on here, but is anyone else slightly irked by the bigger and bigger phone screens?

I kinda want my phone to fit in my pocket.

Wife (no pics) got me one of these for Christmas. I didn't ask for it or anything so it's not like it was something I wanted. After using it for a few months, it's pretty great to just get in bed and set it on there without having to fumble around in the dark, looking for a charging cable.

Only thing is it takes long as shite to charge a phone to 100%. So if you are in a hurry it's really not much of an option.

Charge time depends on the charger you buy, I bought a cheap one at first and it was really slow, then I bought the samsung charger and it charges much faster.
