One of the bigger snubs out of all nominations. His message will still reach many people and make a huge impact!

It never fails to amaze me how much this board thinks that everything saints/LSU/Pelicans should immediately be held in the most highest esteem by default.

Just stating a fact that many people believe... not just locals. But it is perfectly fine to disagree if you choose to.

Here's a better question:

Which of the nominations have you seen?

Fire at Sea
I am not your Negro
Life, Animated
13th
OJ: Made in America

Or even better, how many of the 15 that made the shortlist have you seen? It was one of the 15 finalists for a nomination.

Hmmm, not sure that is how facts work. It was always considered a long shot for a nomination, even among indie critics

No race baiting in this movie so no nomination.

Also, I prob shouldn't have even posted this on the Saints board. This movie isn't much about the Saints at all. It is far more than that. I have see 4 of the 5 nominees and they are all fantastic as well.

Way to find one person's opinion. You will find many with the other opinion as well.

It was just the first link on Google. But the real issue is that it isn't a fact. You took your own opinion, without even seeing the other 14 films, and stated it as a FACT.

Looks like every single one on the front page had it likely missing too including Vanity Fair

Also, way to ignore the rest of the post.

I love the film, but can't really judge it against the other 15 on the shortlist, like you have, without actually seeing the rest of the 15

I can agree with what you said. You are right in saying that it literally can't be "fact" because it is all opinion.

I didn't mean for this to turn into an arguement bc it just doesn't matter that much. My main feeling is that I would have loved to see this movie nominated bc it would have gotten the great message out to any more people.

Have a great day!

Pick any team. Anywhere in the world. Any organization. Go to their forum and report back if you find it's not the exact freaking same.

It never fails to amaze ME, that people quote human nature and associate it with their team. You're amazed by the very nature of being a human? Yes, we root for our own and represent our own's interest. Sorry that blows your mind.
