LSU recruiting has been picking up a lot of steam lately. After the UAAA game we've had a lot of recruits talking LSU and coming into visits together. This has got to be a positive for relationship building and the school. I'm starting to get the vibe(fingers crossed) big Marv may be a silent commit. If so you think Chaisson, Phillips and Gay are soon to follow?
That front 7 LSU is recruiting would be truly dynamic!

I am confident that LSU will land Wilson, Gay and Phillips. I also want K'Lavon Chaisson in a huge way. We'll see. It's a tough battle with Texas right now, but LSU definitely is in it.

If LSU lands Mathis and Neil Farrell along with Big Marv, LSU's D-line depth is going to be incredible, when one considers the other guys (Shelvin, Lawrence, Alexander) we'll have. LSU's defense is going to get pretty nasty over the next couple of years, even more so than it's been lately.

Won't know the outcome till signing day, but LSU is on the cusp of landing its most complete defensive class since '09.

After all the uncertainty with staff changes the momentum has certainly turned. I agree there does seem to be a sense of excitement when recruits talk about LSU. We will likely get a mix of some great pick ups and a few disappointments.

What has to happen next is it has to translate on the field. If Canada can show that he can rev up the offense, make the QB effective and highlight our skill players and Aranda can build on a great first year then 2018 should produce a flood of great recruits.

And lastly, as much as I hate to re-visit it we have to slay the giant/midget.

It's definitely shaping up to be an incredible finish. We will either be stoked or heartbroken. This is the first piece of the Orgeron story at LSU and after being a skeptic of the hire, I'm still his biggest fan and really hoping he pulls this off!

I read after last week end's official visit, that Coach O had won over his mom and brother and where K'Lavon said when asked to rate his visit on a scale of 1 to 10, initially said 100, and when the interviewer asked him if he added an extra 0 by accident, he then said, "no, make that 1000".

Chaisson is highly likely to end up at Texas. I don't see him coming.

It really is an uphill battle at this point with Chaisson. Oh well, if we end up getting Gay and Phillips to go along with Patrick Queen, I'll still be very happy. It would be great to get Chaisson too, but if he chooses Texas, I say good luck to him.

Word on the street is Chaisson had a much better time on his LSU visit. His parents are pushing petroleum engineering.Texas may win that aspect but LSU is no slouch in that area either.

Yes, we have to start beating the Gumps. That is the sine qua non in the equation. And I do think LSU is finally headed in the right direction toward that end. I sure hope so, anyway.

Yes, his visit went great from every indication. He would be a perfect fit at LSU. Apparently, his mom wants him at Texas. I actually feel that he would rather come to LSU, from what I've read lately, but it looks like mom may win out on this one. Fingers crossed, hoping and praying.
