Only problem I have with him is he's only 32 years old.

While he is very impressive and has done a fantastic job,I don't think he's ever even been around a good program. I'm not sure he's quite ready for a job like that. Say what you will about O(and he is not who I wanted), he has been at Miami, USC, Tennessee, LSU, and even Ole Miss. Those schools play in a different league on a different level than Western Michigan.

Because this went down just like the Archer hire. The current and former players wanted O because he made the former players feel wanted and the current players always want the guy who is there. Oh, and because Joe is incompetent.

We can't have an "unproven" coach, whatever that means.

He looks good so far, but he needs to climb the ladder one more rung first and get some experience taking on bigger programs and better competition. This could be another Al Golden situation. He looked pretty sure fire too, but was in over his head in Miami. A good coach can fail in their first big hire if they aren't prepared.
