Business Trip to London

Looks like I am heading to London for work in a few weeks. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to stay longer on front or back end of trip, so will just have evenings/nights to explore. 4 days or so.
Working in West London (Covent Garden/Paddington area)
Any recs on hotels, restaurants, etc ? I'd like to get out and explore as much as possible at night. I plan on trying to catch a premier league game. Any other must do at night in London in mid December? I enjoy nightlife but don't want to just sit in a pub for 4 nights. Want to maximize time there.
TIA

Strong recommendation for the Bloomsbury Hotel. Stayed there recently and loved it. Many of the guests appeared to be business types.
It's right by the British Museum and near Covent Garden. Just steps away from Tottenham Court Road tube station, which is a big benefit.
The reviews on Tripadvisor and Expedia are glowing.

My favorite restaurant in London is just a few blocks from Covent Garden. It is Rules on Maiden Lane just off the Strand. Rules is the oldest restaurant in London. The food id delicious and the setting is beautiful. They have a great bar upstairs so go early for cocktails.

Apex Temple Court between town and Covent Garden. On Fleet.

There's this very cool --pretty trendy--hotel called The Hospital Club right in Covent Garden. Cool, big rooms for London. And an afternoon drink cart that rolls through....

Here is a semmingly comprehensive list of the culinary hotspots around London.
You are definitely staying in a great part of town to see some of the more popular things while there, Covent Garden is awesome along with Trafalgar Square.
If you are into the club scene, check out Fabric. It's been around a super long time but it's a keystone in the global nightclub circuit. It closes at 7am if you are a night owl.

Barrafina is one of the best meals I have had in awhile. No reservations, Spanish Tapas you eat at the bar. It has a Michelin Star and 3 locations. The Drury Lane location has the shortest queue but any of the locations if you get there past 7 you're going to wait an hour or so, but you can drink while waiting.
Absolutely incredible stuff, and very, very affordable for having a Michelin star.
