When you rewatch season 1 you realize how awful Walt's family was towards him.

I don't need to rewatch it to realize this, they were freaking awful. Skylar and Marie are easily my most hated spouses of all time.

How should a wife in skyler's position act, IYO? I think she was kinda bitchy and I have zero tolerance whatsoever for cheating so she is DEFINITELY not beyond reproach, but I mean cmon. Her husband was a HS teacher that is now making and dealing meth, behind her DEA bro-in-laws back, all while expecting a newborn right around the corner. I can understand her being a bit perturbed.

It is the greatest artistic achievement in human history.

Except for maybe the Wire.

It would probably be my 25th rewatch if I did another. That show was amazing.

THIS.
Elliott offered Walt a great job with Cadillac health insurance. And he had so much pride, he turned it down and chose to make poison instead. He did something that put his whole family at all kinds of risk and hurt his community. I love the show, but Walter White is a fricking selfish a-hole. This isn't like he told Skyler "I'm going to play poker at Hank's house" and he went to a titty bar. This is lying that could put his whole family in legal trouble and destroy Hank's career.

And one could argue (like Mike did) that Walter's ego ruined his sweet illegal gig with Gus also.

Marie was crazy from the start but I don't get all the hatred for Skylar. How else would you expect someone to act if their husband kept disappearing and lying about; only to later find out that he's a major drug dealer that's done some horrible things that could come back to haunt him and his family? She was bitch at times (her affair) and she did voluntarily get involved in Walt's business but she receives way too much hate.
I wanted Walt to win in the end with him being the main character and all but Walt was a egotistical power hungry a-hole toward his later days. Especially to Jessie.

If Walt didn't have a family I could understand him not taking the offer out of pride. When you have dependents sometimes you have to suck it up and do what's right.

Skylar was flirting with Ted loooooong before she found out about Walt's dealings. She had no consideration to the fact that Walt's cancer had an a dramatic effect on his psyche. Instead, being the self-absorbed shrew that she is, she made it about her.

Terminal illness changes people. As a spouse, you don't say "My husband is acting weird. I'm gonna flirt with another guy".

Also, had Walt's ascension was via legal venture instead of cooking meth, Skyler's actions would not have been much different. It was mainly about control for her. 16 years she was wearing the pants, and once Walt grew a pair she couldn't handle it.

Most overrated show of all time

I wouldn't say all time, but I do agree it's overrated. It was a bit boring for me.

This show and The Wire are two shows I have tried multiple times and just couldn't get into them despite the love for both on here.

Walt is such an unlikeable POS

I found Breaking Bad to be a really fun watch but not near on the level of Mad Men, Sopranos, or The Wire.

I already knew Walter dies in the end. Apparently rigs up some machine gun trunk auto shoot thing. Mythbusters FTW!!!
Same here, but it was still a great show to watch.

Loved BB but I just couldn't into the Wire. Don't see how it's one of the best ever.

I just started it for the first time. He just blew up Ticos base and adopted the Heisenberg name on the last episode I watched.

Name of that episode is Crazy Handful of Nothing. So much is going on in it.

People that watch it through that episode and don't like it need to stop watching. They aren't going to like the series.

The dude playing Skinny Pete was a good actor also for that role.
