Could you raise a primate?

I have a smart dog and wish sometimes she it dumb. I couldn't see raising a primate. They'd never let you get away.

I have heard of dogs taking on personality traits of their masters, but this is a bit extreme.

i see this from time to time when parents try to leave the store without buying their kids what they wanted.

I have read that it is very difficult to keep one. Because they are very intelligent they require a lot of attention. If they are not challenged and entertained enough then they will develop mental health issues. But they will never progress to the point where they will be able to take care of themselves completely. I have seen it compared to having a perpetual baby or maybe a special needs child.
