AT&T + DirecTV... Help getting the unlimited TV streaming

My family's ATT account has been under my mom's name forever (member when mobile phones were for emergencies only? I member).
Last year my dad got DIRECTV at his camp. The account is in his name. The address for the account is different than the ATT account.
What do we need to do to get our ducks in a row so that we can show ATT that we are subscribers to both?

Pretty sure that you just have to have them linked together on the same bill.
