It's the design...which Miles and Cameron are responsible for. They can't have success with the way the passing game is designed, so they abandon it. Unfortunately, the running game is seriously flawed with a smash-mouth group and a zone blocking scheme, so the running game has immense issues as well.

You just have two guys that keep trying to prove the rest of college football wrong...when it's them.

They do not have a zone blocking scheme. That's part of the reason the OL has such difficulty. A quicker play would help the OL out, and having to hold blocks for so long takes a toll mentally and physically.
