Fair enough - her weight did kind of fluctuate in the "hefty" range for some of that. She also like the marijuana, which may have helped out her appetite.

FWIW, she blames Klonopin for that - she was off everything for about a year, then a doctor steered her to Klonopin - she attributes her non-creative period, as well as weight gain in her 30s and 40s to her 8 years of Klonopin addiction.

There are some funny compilations out there of her on a studio microphone suggesting they all do cocaine or smoke pot - many, many times over the years.

Ginger never had anything near Top 40, he was anything but commercial. Jack should have been Top everything- to me, better musician, songwriter, singer, etc than Clapton.
I am trying to think if Traffic qualifies- Winwood speaks for himself & Dave Mason did quite well early on; I think Jim Capaldi may have come close once or twice.
