I've been looking into the Casper & Loom and Leaf mattresses, but I don't know if they're really better than what you'd pick up at a regular mattress store or if it's all hype. Anyone have a mattress they're particularly fond of? Looking to spend around $1000 or less.

Go be outraged in the other threads or answer his question. Those are the choices.

I've heard of these. Aren't they supposed to be fairly cheap but high quality?

It was $900/1000... can't recall exactly. King size. It sleeps beautifully... basically a foot of foam and it contours to your body. I think there are some cheaper alternatives, but I haven't researched them. All I know is I feel like it was worth the price and should last many years. Plus, they have a money-back guarantee.

My folks have a Tempur-pedic with the foam and they say it gets super hot. Any issue like that with yours?

I always get a little warm when I sleep... maybe slightly warmer, but not significantly. Nothing one less blanket or a tick down on the thermostat can't cure.

That may be a deal breaker. I turn into a furnace at night.

We got ours from Overstock for $400 over a holiday sale. We love it so far. 12-15 memory foam. Best nights of sleep I have had in a while.
