EXCLUSIVE: Silicon Valley star Martin Starr is joining the burgeoning cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Jon Watts-directed pic from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. The film is casting up quickly, with Donald Glover and Logan Marshall-Green the most recent additions joining Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei. Holland’s the young webslinger, and Keaton plays The Vulture. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing.

Aside from the HBO comedy, Starr’s been in a bunch of cult favorite pics and series including Freaks And Geeks and Party Down, as well as Adventureland, Knocked Up and Superbad. He has had development deals at ABC, CBS, FX and Paramount to write, executive produce and star in his own series and is currently developing and producing multiple TV projects with Matt Bush and Anonymous Content. He most recently starred in I’ll See You In My Dreams, which premiered at Sundance, and he produced and starred in Operator, which debuted at SXSW.
