Is Mississippi State the home team tonight?

In other words, is the higher seeded team always the home team throughout the tournament?

Then how do they decide? I'm curious as well.

Probably if one was home and one was away in their previous game the team that was away is home if all is equal you go with higher seed.

It's complicated... starting today, the home team isn't decided by seed, but by how often each team has been home and away in the tournament so far. The reason we're home tonight is because we were away against UF, and MSU hasn't been the away team yet.

The higher seed is home for the first round games only.

After that it is based on who was home/visitor in the teams' last games and then, if both teams were the same in their last game it goes to who has been home/visitor more times. If they have both been home/visitor the same number of games, it resorts to a coin flip.

Yep, hated it last year and I hate it this year even though it benefits us against State.
