But where Fournette really distinguished himself was in his ability to break tackles. He had 85 forced missed tackles as a runner alone (he added 10 more as a receiver) — the highest number in the nation. To put into perspective just how good that is, Heisman winner Derrick Henry of Alabama had 76 as a runner – on 96 more attempts than Fournette.

You mean the 1 game he was held under 90 yards all last season?

Is there a difference between forced missed tackles and broken tackles or am I reading this wrong?

Yet he wasn't even invited to the Heisman ceremony. Two other running backs went ahead of him. Smdh

There is a missed tackle and then there is getting blown out trying to make a tackle.

For instance the missed tackle by No 1 for LSU that let the TT man 11 go by him was not a forced missed tackle.

Lol. He was pretty much the only one that DIDN'T take November off.

Honestly I'm worried about November again this year. Nothing having to do with LF7, and everything to do with the blocking.
Our O-line was beat up late last year and the Zone scheme Grimes runs might be great when all starters are in, but it's terrible on replacements.
Also we really missed our fullback.

He had one bad game, and it's easy to argue that it wasn't his fault. It's still a team game. Unfortunately the Heisman is apparently also a team award.
