I am sure the haters will gladly kick this one around.

I would bet that this isn't voluntary....would be curious to find out of Nikki did this on her own or if Alleva forced her hand in some way.

And to be honest, despite his little run-in with the law a while back, I think he is the more valuable member of the staff when compared to TButts.

Oh, and :inb4LATechjobisopen:

If they don't win next year, I am pretty sure this will occur. I happen to think they will win though. That puts me in the minority around here.

I don't really care if LSU WB is worth a flip or not. Just don't go paying someone like Nikki a shite load of money to do a crappy job.

None of them are valuable.

why more valuable then Butts? seems like Butts is active during games anyway. might be a tough hire for just one season. assuming she will hire another guy?

adenyi amadou (kentucky) - part of good program LINK
jeff house (dayton) - heard great things, SEC experienceLINK
alan frey (tulane) - long-time assistant with strong LA tiesLINK

if she is trying to get someone on the cheap for one year, maybe she brings back a familiar face:

michael scruggs (cleveland state/former LSU video guy) - didn't know him well while he was here, seemed nice. looks like clev state had a down yearLINK
john silver (vermont/former LSU ops guy) - told he was nikki's right hand man. heard he was pretty popular with players and fans. LINK

can she please just hire: LINK

Wouldn't be shocked if Elzy ended up here. Would be an odd trade since Nikki and Warlick are best buds....but weirder things have happened.

Don't know the details but if he is the one to get axed because an assistant has to go to keep the losing coach another year, than this is a perfect example of how dumb the whole process is.

Tony Perotti is not the reason LSU sucked this year.

The players and the head coach are. If he sucked, he'd have been axed by her years ago.

Our AD is garbage.

And if our head coach kept her job here, for probably just 1 more year, by cutting loose one of her men, she ain't no better.

For once, I'd like to see a coach stand their ground and go down with the ship. You win and lose with your men/women.

*Disclaimer - I don't watch women's basketball

Unless he really needs the money, I doubt Frey would jump to LSU for an assistant job. Tulane has been the strongest WBB program in the state the past few years, the staff is stable, and he would be at risk of losing his job after next season if he moved to LSU.

So Les should've kept Malveto as DC and Stud as OC?

Personally, these changes should have been made a long time ago. Unfortunately, I don't see the new hire doing much unless we magically have a better season, I would expect us to clear house if we have another below avg season with another mediocre class.

I would doubt that seriously...I'd wager that he was asked by someone to leave.
