FIFA Video Game (Best Features of All-Time)

Figured I would get better responses here than Gaming Board... FIFA 16 is the first soccer game I have ever played and I have enjoyed it... I've seen several on here talk about its downfalls and lack of certain features... SO what are the best features/modes etc that have been in FIFA games over the years?

FIFA 2000 had one of the best modes ever that they never brought back.... Historical Rosters.
Being able to play with Real Madrid from the 50s, or Brazil of the 70s.... heck even the '77 NY Cosmos was awesome and I wish they'd bring the mode back.
The closest we got was the Creation Center thing, and they never brought it to next gen.

You can still do this on FUT. I played a guy last night that had two guests playing with him. When I could manage to dribble out of the constant triple team I had lots of space 
It was also the first time I've seen a striker offsides by a good 25 yards

speaking of offsides. i don't think you can "play a man onsides" on 16. it seems that if anybody is past the last defender, even if you're not passing to him, they'll signal offsides. i could be wrong but i think i've gotten fricked a few times against super pressers

You could manually curve shots in 2002 World Cup, e.g., one trigger caused the ball to curve in one direction while the other trigger did the opposite. Made long shots ridiculous
Would be super annoying to play against now, but it was fun to use against your friends, especially with players who had a high shooting stat--their shots were "on fire," like some NBA Jam type shite

my friend used to be an expert on those kicks. he could hit half-field shots. we used to have epic battles where that would decide games

I've gotten screwed a few times on advantage not being played. I've gotten fouled at the top of the 18 a few times and the ball ended up with another guy on my team with a shot in the box, but it was blown dead. I guess because their isn't an animation for a "loose ball" that ends up working like a pass

Not a best feature by any means, but they constantly are leaving money on the table by not doing more with the player career.

This. It's possible, but it's very hit and miss. I'm 100% positive, though, that you can't pull it off if you're me and need a late goal.
In all honesty, I've noticed that if I see that he was offside and immediately attempt to curb the run of the offside player right after I play the ball, it seems to allow me to run onto the ball. That may just be some sort of nonsense that I've convinced myself of, along with FIFA constantly "shifting momentum" to create drama to the point of turning 90+ rated players into soft beings who kick with the power of a blown kiss.
EDIT: Just realized that I said exactly what the post that I quoted said. I'm very sleep deprived right now so excuse that.

Wouldn't say it's the best feature, but the amount of chants they put into the games these days is pretty cool.
