"Entertainment" at 82% on RT makes me question the usefulness of the site...

holy shite, what an awful movie. I didn't know it going in, but I could tell after ~30 minutes that the people behind "The Comedy" were behind the film. I thought "The Comedy" kind of sucked as well, but it at least stuck with me for a few days, debating whether it was total shite or just 90% shite and 10% brilliance. "Entertainment" might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Worse than Nymphomaniac.
To be fair, I don't watch super obvious shite movies like "Jack and Jill", so I could find a movie that's worse if I wanted to, but it would be a struggle.
Can anyone that's seen this movie give me some comfort as:

From the sounds of it, it aims to be a very artsy film and that is more prone to critics liking it.

The audience score is what I usually look at. It was only 53% for that movie.

I can't say I am very interested in it. I have seen the comedian put on a live set before after a comedian that I do like (Todd Barry). I guess I understand what he is going for...some anti-comedy type thing. But in the end I just watch comedy to laugh...I don't really find any deep meaning in a bad comedian.

I like Neil Hamburger in small doses but this looks too artsy for me. The idea behind The Comedy was ok but it was just a boring movie.

Meh. Critics are always prone to liking things that regular joes don't. 90% of regular beer drinkers HATE Mikkeller's offerings, but they always get rated highly by beer critics/rating systems.

The Comedy was great. Might have to check this out.
