Miles takes a bit of heat from the media whenever his coaching appears inadequate which truthfully isn't many times or whenever a player performs poorly. Coach Miles likes to imply he's the shield for his players and staff.

But it's many degrees hotter if your the one taking the calls from melting LSU fans dialing in from literally everywhere, right after another embarrassing loss to Saban and Bama, like Charles Hannigriff had to do.

For some perspective, Charles hates Bama with a passion, he'll go on a long rant about Saban's team even when its not Bama week. So to hear Charles remain calm and quiet on the radio while listening to numerous LSU fans melt over another humiliating loss to Bama, is truly remarkable. In a way, Hannigriff appears to be taking all the heat from LSU fans aimed at Les Miles, and when you consider his hatred for Bama, that's no small feat.

Yes, it's Charles' job on the radio to interact with LSU fans about the game, but when Miles suffers another humiliating loss like this, the job becomes Herculean especially for a Bama hater, how do you stay cool headed? I'm a tough SOB who'll defend Miles and I hate Bama too, but that's a bit much even for me.

You certainly earned my respect Hannigriff.

Well, when the defeat is so totally and utterly complete from start to finish, what good would it do to melt? We've seen this for FIVE frickING GAMES IN A ROW. There are no more feels left. Just mark it down as a loss and hope LSU wins enough other games to get a decent bowl game.

That's what it has come down to. September games? 4-0. October? 4-0. First game in November? LOSS. Rest of November? Hope the team hasn't packed it in.

Miles is 68-26 once October rolls around.
It only gets worse from there. We should be thankful for cream puff rent-a-win September

Because he will never be the voice of the Tigers if he lets Alleva and the KGB down.

Never burn your bridges. Hannagriff isn't that dumb.

This cannot be understated. I've heard Charlie lose it on the radio before. I really wanted to listen on my drive home from where we watched the game, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
