According to a published report, former NFL player and broadcaster Darren Sharper pled guilty in federal court in New Orleans on Friday to charges he schemed to drug and sexually assault three women.
According to the New Orleans Advocate, Sharper will be sentenced on August 20. Also, he is to plead guilty to three rape charges in Louisiana state court in June, per the report.
In March, Sharper agreed to plea deals to resolve charges against him in Arizona, California, Louisiana and Nevada.
All told, Sharper might serve as little as nine more years in prison in connection with a variety of rape and drug charges, but his plea agreement comes with a variety of strict conditions. Also, he is required to cooperate with authorities in other investigations, the Advocate notes.

This whole situation is truly mind blowing. That is one sick arse dude right there. Not much else you can say. What gets me the most is he could have banged just about any chick that he wanted but he went this route. Again, one sick dude!

A guy like this needs to be institutionalized somewhere for life. What he has cant be rehabilitated or fixed. They will let him out in 9 years and he will do it again

No he will do all but ten months in a Federal prison. 10 months in California, then a few years of strict probation there.
If Sharper successfully completes parole in California,
If Sharper successfully completes parole in California,

he will have 72 hours to report to Arizona, where he is essentially to live out until his death under terms of a strict lifetime probation as a registered sex offender. If he violates his probation in any way, Sharper faces imposition of a flat 14-year Arizona prison sentence that is part of the global plea agreement but currently suspended.
To comply with his probation in Arizona, Sharper must renew his driver's license every 12 months and maintain his sex offender registry. He cannot own weapons, cannot consume or possess alcohol or drugs, cannot change residences without a sheriff's permission, and must submit to regular lie-detector tests and unscheduled searches.

although i think he should rot in prison for a long time, this is no joke here
lie detector tests are now used in court matters?

Seems strange that all these states and presumably the victims agreed to nine years followed by tough probation for 100 rapes.

fricking Joke! Average of 1 year per rape. I hope he gets his due in prison. They should set him on fire!

I don't belive nine years will get him into a prison where 85% of the inmates will die there. He'll do time at a satellite camp.

The guy did a lot more than "sell" drugs. He ordered the killings of several people.
