He didn't say Tyreke sucks. He said he won't be on a championship team. Name all the championship players who had a ball dominant guy who couldn't shoot 3s at all and shot 43% from the field. I'll wait. He has more shots+1/2 FTs than points. And he's not very good at D.
I'm not saying it can't be done, because AD is a special player. The type who can set precedents. But you are straw manning him. Tyreke is textbook make an otherwise bad team mediocre.
As for Ajinca, are you talking about the guy who gave up 20+ second chance points in the same amount of minutes that Asik gave up 0?

Name all the teams who won nba titles in the past 35 years. There's a grand total of 7. Maybe we should make the conference semi's or finals before we start talking about guys who may not be good enough to put us over the top. We are not a mediocre team, the only thing stopping us from being a conference finals contender is geography

Your entire perception would change if the Pelicans were in the East. If we were in the East we would be in the 6th spot trailing the Wizards by one game. And if the regular season ended like that the Pelicans would play either Raptors or Cavs. This season we are 2-0 against the Raptors and 1-1 against the Cavs so those series seem winnable. At that point Ryno and possibly Jrue would be back too.
I understand that is a ton of "ifs" but my point is that the talent in the West skews your perception of this team. Regardless of what conference we are in, we would all still see that the Pelicans are not title contenders yet, but things would seem more optimistic.
We are progressing, these things take time. We've made some good moves, bad moves, etc. Our best player is 21 and he'll be here for a long time. Relax bro.

We are the very definition of mediocre at the moment. Even if you say only Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Toronto are better than us from the East, we are the 13th best team in the league. So we are duking it out with Washington for 13th best team out of 30.

That team had 3 hall of famers and arguably 2 elite coaches on their staff. We have 1 future hall of famer and Monty.
