I would hope most palates could tell the difference. There are a ton of differences in the two beers. Best way is to do a triangle test instead of a side by side.

Both taste pretty different. IIRC Abita is made with syrup while covington is made with real strawberries.

I love both, but they don't taste exactly alike at all. Covington is a stronger strawberry taste IMO

Some people can and some can't. I had a friend whose family couldn't tell the difference between coke and pepsi.

Heck, I can smell the difference. Some people have crazy palates and some have weak palates.
