Missing contacts- Iphone

Searched but could not find anything. My iphone is missing contacts. They are not in my address book but i can find them through recent texts. Its a 5c with ios 8.1.2 if that helps. Thanks for any info.

if that doesn't work, go to settings>iCloud and turn contacts off wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on again.

Is this a work phone on an exchange server? If so you need to change your network password. Then change the password on the phone.
Settings
Mail, Contacts,Calendars
Under Accounts you'll see your work info
click on account
Change your password in there.
