Louisiana is loaded with athletes every cycle, we just simply cannot make room for them all, other programs end up getting great players because of it.

Because there are 10,000 guys that could be slot receivers for LSU in Louisiana. We can't take all of them, and we are already loaded at WR.

Exactly and that is every year. 6' 180# athletes grow on trees here. Paul Turner and many others are great examples.

Having said that, this kid is different. I wish that he could get an offer just as a return specialist. Maybe he could play some O 3 years from now. Use him in the same Trindon roll as years ago. He is absolutely electric in space and would be a special teams demon after a redshirt year. You would have the same feeling as when TH was back returning kicks - there's always a chance that he houses it here.

Practically everyone that sees him play comes away saying that he's the best athlete on the field.

He's really explosive. But we don't really have a history of using guys like that. Even Trindon Holiday pretty much only contributed on special teams here.

Interesting. I would have thought you would still want that dimension available to your offense even if it wasn't a perfect fit. Maybe it is simply LSU has some guys who fit that criteria and just rate them a little higher.

Absofrickinglutely. And the gentleman's name is Donte Jackson....

He was the 2nd best player I saw all year. The only one better was Shea. He will be a fantastic return man/jet sweep guy for someone in college.

Donte Jackson didn't do shite against us and got abused by a white boy. Turpin is the most competitive player I've ever seen and completely took games over. His only knock is size and their aren't 100 Turpin's in this state every year ability wise. Whoever gets him will get a great player.

we have all been watching LSU football too long , for a decade we have only used players like him in this predictable, limited role.

I'd say it's been more like 15 years. But someone mentioned why earlier in the thread.....run blocking.

If we use a guy like that, it's going to be telegraphed. When we had Trindon, if he was on the field, he was getting the ball. We don't do subtlety.

RS didn't get a whole lot of decoy action either

Who scored that TD?

Neville is way better than Riverdale. Looks to me like Donte Jackson was the only one that did shite.

Neville is better than Riverdale. That's all that proves.

Donte Jackson is the only one who did anything against a vastly superior team.

He has a better back flip than Adore Jackson.

The kid play better than Johnson in the state finals.

He's going to TCU. Good luck to the young man.
