Last time there has been so much parity in an MVP race?

With Curry, Harden, Gasol, Lowry, and even Davis.
Add Westbrook who is playing lights out and who has led the Thunder to 9-1 since he has been back.
Add the former MVPs LeBron and Durant.
I may even be missing some guys.
I think Curry is the MVP right now, but there is a lot of season left.
Is this the best MVP race in a while? When was the last time you felt the race was truly up for grabs by multiple players?

It's really great for the league.
A lot of them are small market too.
This has been a great regular season so far imo.

2006 was the last time it was like this. Nash, Dirk, Lebron and Kobe. Kobe and his 35 ppg probably should've won, but his team was only the 7 seed. Nash won because of how they team stayed together even with Stoudemire out.
Edit: 2011 should've been like this, but the media hijacked the award and had given it to Rose by All-Star break.

A ton of it has to do with KD being out to start the season and the Cavs having a slow start. Like Lobos said it s great for the league imo.

A lot of this is due to not having a dominant MVP candidate like Lebron, Durant, or Kobe; Not necessarily a ton of Lebron caliber players this year
