Does anyone have a movie recommendation? There doesn't seem to be a very good selection. The two I was looking at is "Mud" with Macconaughey and "out of the furnace" with Christian Bale. Any thoughts on either? TIA

You guys are sure giving him high expectations for Mud. Acting is awesome, even by the kids. But I think the story is slow at times.

"Mud"

Really good movie I thought, wouldn't call it great. Pretty much the film that kicked off the McConaughsance, and he is great in it.

Incredibly underwhelming I thought, given the great cast.

Do not waste your time with Out of the Furnace. If you do choose to watch it, you will be wondering where the last two hours of your life went.

The scenes with both Casey Affleck and Bale look like the most genuine scenes I've seen on film.

Was not the biggest fan of Out of the Furnace.. but it was a worthy enough effort by the director to where I'm still very interested in the Whitey Bulger film he is doing with Johnny Depp
