So many lopsided games in the NFL this year

What happened to parity?

Lots of lopsided games but the records aren't very lopsided. Feels like a ton of teams will finish 8-8 or around 8-8

Getting the packers at home=guaranteed blowout

There were a lot of really close games today. Four of the 1:00 PM games were one score games.

This. I think the amount of high powered offenses and the rule changes allow one team to really get out ahead and if the other offense is a little off, they can't keep up especially with a turnover or two. It's harder and harder to win with good defense.

It's been terrible.
Plausible explanation has been the new offensive rules and restricting defenses...
If somebody has a great QB and the other team has a nobody...how do you compete? If it's all about fast-break basketball on grass?
Seattle was an anomaly last year but the league hated it so much - they put "more emphasis" on controlling D aggression and contact.
You can't have parity in a purely passing O happy league when there are only 10 competent QBs to go around.
