Instead of playing the early part of the season to work on his game for 2015 after the worst year of his career, Mickelson has joined his brother's ASU staff.
Not much into Men's golf recruiting, but I would assume this gives ASU a massive worldwide advantage.
If Tiger has another injury soon maybe Stanford will open up a spot for him and they can go to war in the PAC-12.

Dude has mailed it in. He's had a great career, made a butt-load of money. He thinks he will just show up for the majors and compete, but he's probably about done in challenging for those wins as well. He was bad in the first two majors last year because he didn't do much to prepare himself. At the end of the year, when he had all season to get his game in shape, he almost pulled of a win at the PGA.
Now if he gets serious and goes back to work, he might can get that career Grand Slam.

i can imagine at this point he wants to relax a little more but still be around the game.

Ol' Phil back at home. Arizona loves the guy

Is this wise, considering his penchant for gambling?

He will go down as a "what could have been."
If he had grown up poor and hungry like Larry Bird instead of pampered...he might have been like Larry Bird who made the most of his talent and skills.
Lefty had all the talent in the world. Just crumbled most often.

I think that's a fair criticism. He had a great career but certainly could have achieved a lot more.
