RDS-B, COP, XOM, CVX are all solid options. BP is a higher reward/risk play IMO.

Like I said, I'm very new to investing so the past month I've spent most of my time researching the O&G companies I listed. I haven't read up on XOP so I'm not sure. At first glance, its a low dividend paying stock so I probably wouldn't have them on my target list.
