I personally loved it

The last episode of Lost was like a nightmare for me, a real living nightmare. No word of a lie —I fell into a deep depression after that last episode, because I believed in that show with a religious fervor. I feel so betrayed by that ending, so betrayed to this day, so hurt. I believed in that show probably more than I believed in any artwork of my adult life and God, the betrayal.
I personally loved it

I feel like Lost as a whole was nothing great, but a lot of the individual pieces were incredible.

It was my favorite episode of the series.

It was just another drama for me. The ending was stupid though.

Best finale of all time IMHO. The article doesn't elaborate on why Gunn felt betrayed so frankly it's pretty worthless without some explanation.

Looking at it by itself, the last episode was really good. It hit a lot of the right emotional notes.
Looking at it as the conclusion and wrap up to a series full of dropped plot lines and unanswered mysteries, the finale was lacking quite a bit.

The finale was perfect. It makes sense. I can't see it any other way

I really enjoyed the finale too. I get that not everyone loved it but to be that messed up about it seems strange.
Wish there was some context to his opinion.
