In all my years of playing and watching football, I've never seen a facemask ripped off of a helmet.
Worst facemasking penalty ever.

There should be a bigger penalty for that than half the distance. I almost think that player should have been ejected. Pretty blatant.

A lot of force/pressure being exerted there. Never seen it happen before.
From a physics perspective, who is stronger in that equation?

Maybe Adams told him to loosen the screws to it on the sidelines to make sure the refs didn't mis the call.

Greatest force of nature, Fournette's neck or Keiland Williams' calves?

Are they designed to break at a certain stress point?
It makes sense that you would rather it break than your neck.

Ole Miss players made 4 or 5 obvious face masks that were not called.
Screw them. They played that game like Arkansas used to.

In a head on collision, you wouldn't want that face mask to crush your nose and teeth.

truth, it had to be flagrant like that to get a call. One on Magee and Hilliard, both, were pretty obvious...

Wish he would have scored with the broken mask. That would have been boss.

Agreed. With all the attention to head/neck injuries we all know that some thought has gone in to the facemask's maximum 'strength' or break-point. Still, Fournette has some serious strength, no doubt about it.

No doubt in my mind that shite is dangerous. They were getting away with it all night too.

It was the only instance that I have ever thought a player should be ejected for a face mask. shite was ridiculous.
