Directorial debut of William H. Macy, looks good, has anyone watched it yet?

quote:

A grieving father in a downward spiral stumbles across a box of his recently deceased son's demo tapes and lyrics. Shocked by the discovery of this unknown talent, he forms a band in the hope of finding some catharsis.

I watched it last night. I liked it a lot. It's not perfect but it was entertaining and I liked the music.

Watched the movie this past Tuesday and thought it was extremely well done. There are a few sub plots that weren't fully developed and this left a number of questions unanswered, but that didn't overshadow the quality of the acting.

Begin Again vs. Rudderless

These are 2 movies that have a recent release that use the theme of music as a platform for redemption. Both are good but I prefer Begin Again...lighter and has better music.

I would agree that Begin Again is a better movie but I would probably stop if I saw either on.
